Who am I?
Comic, essayist, social media gadfly, husband, dad, smoker of cigars, consumer of burgers, pizza, tacos, vodka gimlets . . . I am or have been rightfully accused of being all of the above. This is my website. I plan to fill it with things - written things that I have written . . . in writing. And other stuff.
Over thirty years ago, I was an award-winning columnist and sports editor of the Red & Black, the paper of record for Jefferson City (MO) High School. Since that time, I have been a columnist for the St. Louis Globe Democrat, a contributing writer for Southern League magazine, a two-time contributor to Esquire's "What I've Learned" section, a contributing writer for Harry's Five O'clock magazine, a blogger for the St. Louis Jewish Light, and, yes, the former online editor of Men's Divorce web magazine.
I am also a stand-up comedian, doing the open-mic thing and always happy to emcee or feature at your stand-up events or sit in on your podcast.
I'll be here all week. Tip your servers.
